Barbecue sauce is a great condiment to have in the fridge. It tastes great on your meat. Especially chicken!
When you decide to not eat refined sugar a misconception is you will miss out on the good food. That’s what I thought! Well, you don’t have to miss out. You just need to spend a few extra minutes to make it from scratch.
When we have family dinners or or get together with our friends we ask what the plan is for food. We always take a side dish that we can eat and if we need to then we will take a main dish for us as well.
This barbecue sauce is great to put on your meat. You can marinade with it. Use it as a dip. Add it on your meat after it is cooked. However you would like. The possibilities are endless.
When I made this barbecue sauce we used it a couple of times for meals that week. It is really easy to make. Just throw all the ingredients into a saucepan and let it simmer for 10 minutes. You can store it in a glass jar for several weeks in your fridge.
We cooked some ground beef with onions. Then I added the barbecue sauce and we had sloppy joes. They were really good! Have some veggie’s with it and you have a great meal.
The next time I boiled some chicken. After it was cooked I shredded the chicken then stir in some barbecue sauce. They were so yummy!
You could also use it for pork and have pulled pork sandwiches.
I also made whole wheat buns. You can find the recipe HERE.
