A lot of my recipes call for Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. Coconut oil is so good for you! I feel like it is one of the things that has helped me with my inflammation and pain.
Ideally you should eat about 2 tablespoons a day. That may sound like a lot but as you start to cook with it you might be surprised at how often you can put it in your diet.

- Supports thyroid function. I have hyopthyroidism. Since taking coconut oil on a regular basis my thyroid function has improved. That is not common. I have been able to reduce my dosage in half so far.
- Promotes loss of excess weight by increasing metabolic rate.
- Applied topically helps to form a chemical barrier on the skin to ward off infection. When I have cut myself or burned myself I have put some coconut oil on the area and it heals faster.
- Softens skin and helps relieve dryness and flaking. Prevents wrinkles, sagging skin, and age spots.
- Does not form harmful by-products when heated to normal cooking temperature like other vegetable oils do.
- Has no harmful or discomforting side effects.
- Is completely non-toxic to humans.
