I really like peanut butter cookies, especially with a little chocolate! In fact, I love peanut butter and chocolate! It is a great combination.
These peanut butter cookies are SO easy to make! You literally dump everything in a bowl. Stir with a wooden spoon. Drop on the cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Bake and enjoy!
For the peanut butter you want the only ingredients to be peanuts and salt. [easyazon_link identifier=”B004W9H7I8″ locale=”US” tag=”beewhole-20″]This is the peanut butter I use.[/easyazon_link]
If you are on a whole foods diet you want to use whole milk. There is not a link between weight gain and full fat dairy. In fact, it can limit overeating. You also don’t want your food processed. Full fat dairy is processed less than reduced or fat-free dairy.
I added raw cacao nibs into my cookies. Raw cacao is actually good for you! Cacao nibs are high in iron and fiber. They also have antioxidants and magnesium! They are also good for depression.
Cacao by itself is BITTER. But if you mix it in with other things then the bitter taste is hidden. Also, the cacao nibs are small so they are not real noticeable.
If you have chronic pain a lot of times you have depression. Any extra help we can get with depression is a huge plus!
If you are eating to be healthy or to get rid of a disease or two make sure to look at the ingredients of all your food. You don’t want preservatives. Sometimes that is hard to avoid but avoid it as much as possible.
You also don’t want sugar. Meaning sugar, pure cane sugar, organic sugar, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, rice syrup, glucose, fructose, sucrose, saccharin, dextrose, etc.
Make sure your flour is whole wheat. I grind whole wheat berries into flour with a wheat grinder. You can also buy whole wheat flour already ground. The equipment I use is on my shop page.
If you grind your own wheat and you grind extra make sure to keep it in your freezer so it doesn’t go bad. There are no preservatives in it so it will go bad quickly.
