Turkey Noodle Soup

One of the best things after the big Thanksgiving dinner are the leftovers that you have!   What is your favorite thing to do with your leftover turkey?  Ours is turkey noodle soup!

Soup is always good!  My favorite thing about this recipe is that you can use up some of the leftovers from the big meal in something besides just sandwiches. 🙂

Trash Can Turkey

3 years ago just before Thanksgiving my husband said he was going to cook our turkey in a trash can.  My first thought was a trash can?  That is disgusting!

Let me tell you, that was the BEST turkey we have ever made!

Healthy Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin pie is one of my favorite pies for Thanksgiving!  It is delicious!

A couple of years ago we had an extended family Thanksgiving dinner.  Of course, there were lots of pies!  We didn’t want to miss out on pie so we brought our own pumpkin pie.

Healthy Apple Pie

Apple pie is one of the most requested pies for Thanksgiving dinner.  Our  Thanksgiving dinner consists of apple pie every year!  My hubby and kids LOVE apple pie!

This recipe is great because we use apple juice as the sweetener.  Fruit juice is sweet by itself so why not use it as a sweetener as well.   Normally you don’t want to drink a lot of fruit juice because it is almost all sugar without much fiber or other nutrients.

Pomegranate Salad

Pomegranate salad, traditionally known as Dixie salad, is my husband’s family Thanksgiving tradition.  It is so yummy!

If you typically have some kind of fruit salad with your Thanksgiving dinner, try something new this year.

The name, Dixie salad, came about because more than 150 years ago the people in Southern Utah, known as Dixie, made this salad.  In Southern Utah, at Thanksgiving time, the pecans are falling out of the trees and are ready to eat.  Pomegranates are ripe.  And, of course, anywhere you go the apples are ready.  So why not make a salad using these ingredients that are readily available!

Whole Wheat Rolls

It is time to start thinking about Thanksgiving dinner and plan your menu.  I don’t know about you but rolls are a must!  And whole wheat rolls are the best!

I love Thanksgiving time!  Family gathered together!  Great food!  Football games!  Naps after eating yourself silly! 🙂

With all the cooking we do it is nice to have a few easy things on the menu.  These rolls are easy to make and have only a few ingredients.  And the best part is they are delicious!

Pumpkin Muffins

Pumpkin muffins are great for breakfast or a snack any day of the week!  They are so fast and easy to make.

If you are like me and like to make recipes with pumpkin but don’t know what to do with the rest of the pumpkin, you can make these muffins!  You only need 1/2 cup of pumpkin!  You can even freeze the muffins and eat them later.
