Healthy Apple Fritters

My husband LOVES apple fritters!  I think he loves anything with baked apples.

I use whole wheat flour in this apple fritters recipe.  Sometimes when using whole wheat flour it gives the recipe a heaviness.   I like to use white wheat.  That helps a lot with the heaviness.

The best wheat to use for this is soft wheat.  I don’t have any soft wheat right now so I used the hard white wheat and it works great!

Peanut Butter Cookies

I really like peanut butter cookies, especially with a little chocolate!  In fact, I love peanut butter and chocolate!  It is a great combination.

These peanut butter cookies are SO easy to make!  You literally dump everything in a bowl.  Stir with a wooden spoon.  Drop on the cookie sheet and flatten slightly.  Bake and enjoy!

Nutrition

I want to talk a minute about the food we eat and nutrition.  There are so many “diets” out there.  You hear eggs are good for you.  No, eggs are not good for you.  Gluten free is the way to go.  Grains are healthy.  Meat is unhealthy.  Butter is good.  Butter is not good for you.  We can go on and on with the things we hear and the contradictions we hear.

This is how I feel about nutrition and the food you eat.  First, is it natural or man made?  Anything natural is good for you as long as it has not been altered or processed.  Basically, is it in it’s whole form.

I have fibromyalgia and arthritis.  I have been able to put it in remission for over 6 years.  You can read about how I started on this path here.
